30-Day Return Window

Containers may be returned within 30 days of delivery with full cost covered by Cortern Steel Box.

30 Days and Above

After the 30 Days return window, the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs to the nearest designated facility.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days back to the original payment method after the container has been received, inspected, and cleared by our return department.

Restocking Fees

Cortern Steel Box does not charge Restocking Fees.

Eligibility for Returns

Standard shipping containers may be returned within 30 calendar days from the date of delivery.

To qualify for a return:

  • The container must remain structurally unchanged.
  • The unit must be empty at the time of pickup.
  • Doors, flooring, locking systems, and frame components must function properly.
  • No decals, welded additions, drilled openings, paint alterations, or permanent attachments may be added after delivery.
  • The container must be accessible for carrier retrieval.

Cortern Steel Box reserves the right to inspect returned units before approving a refund.

Return Shipping

  • For approved returns requested during the 30-day eligibility period, Cortern Steel Box covers the full cost of transportation back to the designated facility.
  • Requests submitted after the initial 30-day period may still be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If accepted, all transportation and handling costs related to the return will be the responsibility of the customer.

How To Start a Return Request

To begin the return process, customers should contact our support team with the following:

  • Full name
  • Order or invoice number
  • Delivery address
  • Reason for the return
  • Current photos of the container

Return requests can be submitted through our contact page or by emailing our customer support department info@cortensteelbox.com. Once reviewed, our logistics team will coordinate the next available pickup schedule.

Delivery Damage or Condition Issues

Customers should inspect all containers upon arrival. If there are any unexpected damages, missing components, or condition concerns that were not documented at delivery, notify us within 48 hours and include clear photographs. We will also do a full inspection upon delivery to ensure no damages were sustained during transit. If our team discovers any issues. We will determine the most appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • Repair service
  • Replacement unit
  • Partial reimbursement
  • Full refund

Resolution options are provided at no additional cost to the customer for verified delivery-related issues.

Custom & Modified Containers

Containers that have been customized, modified, fabricated, painted, insulated, or altered to customer specifications are considered final-sale items and cannot be returned once fabrication or production work has started.

Warranty coverage for custom workmanship or installed components is handled separately under the applicable modification warranty agreement.
